A last request, a family recipe and a bunch of questionable ingredients. "Taste Me" takes a cheerful look at life after death, where being gone doesn't mean you can't still have people over for dinner.
From Blasagna to Gloom brûlée, Gloom and Blake work their way through a menu of increasingly inappropriate ways to be remembered. Just be careful of the calories.
(Chorus)
When I die, you can taste me and I don't mean that in a sessual way
When I die, you can taste me, you can turn me into Gloom food and spoon me in your mouth
(Verse - Blake)
I bet I'd taste great in a baguette or better yet
Inside a bowl of pasta with some garlic bread
You can skin my bones and boil to make a gravy
Or use a couple Oxo cubes if you're feeling lazy
Blasagna is an option too. Just mince my meat
Cover in layers of a cheesy goo and alternating pasta sheets
A pizza is a possibility, a treat to eat.
But just be careful of the calories
So how about we put me in a pie. Pastry?
I guarantee you gonna think it's really tasty
Or how about we chop my fingers off, boil them till they're soft
Cut into slices and then add them to a broth
Yummy yummy Blacon rolls, or Blaked beans. on toast
Or how about a shake and Blake barbecue glaze?
(That could last me for days)
Oh, you can cook me and eat me a million ways 'cause
(Chorus)
When I die, you can taste me,
And I don't mean that in a sessual way
When I die, you can taste me,
You can make me into Blake meat and eat my flesh all day
When I die, you can taste me,
Oh I don't mean that in a sessual way, oh no
When I die, you can taste me,
Oh you can turn me into Gloom food and spoon me in your mouth
(Verse - Gloom)
I bet I'd taste slighty delightful in a trifle
Cherry-flavoured jelly with my kidneys sliced nicely
Or you could whip me into cream for a scone
Then grate my little kneecaps down like parmesan
Gloom brûlée with my caramelised skin
Crack the surface with a spoon and find the gooey bits within
Or roll me up and bake me golden brown
A dozen Gloomy sausage rolls to pass around to people in the town
Pickle both my eyeballs in a jar
Save them for a midnight snack or a roadtrip in the car
Make a Gloomkebab, with peppers on a stick
Spin me oh so slowly so the middle doesn't drip
Stuff me in a vol-au-vent or simmer me in stew
A lovely bowl of Gloombo full of gristle, guts and goo
You can roast me, toast me, baste me in a glaze
Oh, you can cook me and eat me a million ways 'cause
(Chorus)
When I die, you can taste me,
And I don't mean that in a sessual way
When I die, you can taste me,
Oh you can make me into Blake meat and eat my flesh all day
When I die, you can taste me,
Oh I don't mean that in a sessual way, oh no
When I die, you can taste me,
Oh you can turn me into Gloom food and spoon me in your mouth
(Outro)
I'm very tasty, very very tasty, I'm very tasty, very very tasty
I'm very tasty, very very tasty, I'm very tasty, very very tasty
I'm very tasty, very very tasty, I'm very tasty, very very tasty
I'm very tasty, very very tasty, I'm very tasty, very very tasty
I'm very tasty, I'm very very tasty, I'm very tasty, I'm very very very very
I'm very tasty, I'm very very tasty, I'm very tasty, very very tasty
